Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th the 28th of October, 1967. She comes from the fourth Roberts family to have resided in Atlanta. It began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was an agriculturalist. Her father was a theatre enthusiast from a very young age. While a student at Emory University he appeared in diverse productions, both at and off the campus. After he enlisted in the Air force and was spotted together with Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. The two married in 1955 and their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. In 1957, the couple quit the air force and Walter was enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou began producing a television show for children in Decatur, Georgia called Bum Bum and His Buddies. The production was funded by the couple themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for six years. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa, was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
